Sengunthar Charitable Trust has been registered in the year 1995. It aims to remove the long spell of hibernation in the field of education from the rural students of India. Its vision and mission is to trigger the hidden talents in them and produce innovative minds with high spirit of competence. Its branches are Sengunthar Arts and Science College, Sengunthar Engineering College, Sengunthar College of Engineering for Women and Sengunthar B- School for Women. From the branches innumerable buds are produced to spread fragrance all over the World. The Infrastructure is designed on par with international standards. It was formerly affiliated to the University of Madras and now to Periyar University, Salem. A new dawn is unveiled after the Discovery of a new species by our student Mr. S. Parnajothi Department of Microbiology in the year 2000. It is registered at the Microbial Type Culture Collection Centre, Chandigarh which has placed everyone on cloud nine. Fresh water Algal Research Lab has been triumphantly heralded by the Department of Microbiology for the First Time in South India. Many government projects, carried out here are hailed and lauded by researchers and budding scholars. All India Summer Research Training Programme on Molecular Techniques conducted every year from May to June vibrates the minds of high - spirited dynamic scholars. Since 1994, 45 students have got gold medals, 238 students have got University Ranks from 2003 – 2007. Every year students add glory to their College after receiving bountiful from it. Sengunthar Engineering College is a land mark of Namakkal – Erode Main road which sprawls over 52.8 acres. Sengunthar College of Engineering for Women has been started in the year 2007 with a mission, to uplift Women-the hands that rock the cradle to rule the World. It has been initiated with a motive of providing high class and modern education to compete the developing hi-tech world. Medical Electronics Engineering course is introduced for the First Time in Tamilnadu. The college spreads over 12.83 acres in three storied building with modern class rooms, Seminar halls and Drawing rooms. It provides accommodation for 387 girls.
